4Beautiful and easy to put togetherDec 19, 2009
By ATM
This product is beautiful and easy to put together. The wheels lock. I was able to embellish it with ribbons and kick pleats that match my nursery theme. The only thing I would change is that the little mattress it comes with is very thin.

5wonderful little havenFeb 06, 2010
By Celeste Arsenault "celestea"
It is perfectly adorable. Just what I wanted. It visually made me very happy to see my sweet little baby in it. It was the perfect size, safe, and it has wheels so I could roll it anywhere I wanted and I could always keep an eye. I have now passed it on, and his cousin has enjoyed it, with his mom being equally thrilled.

5Love this classy bassinet at an AFFORDABLE price!Apr 10, 2011
By Michele Anderson
The bassinet arrived earlier than expected delivery time, was very easy to assemble and is simply gorgeous! People think I spent a fortune on it, I have to actually pull up the Amazon page on it to prove I didn't. I can't wait to see my little one sleeping in it.

As for the mattress thickness, I believe it's just fine, as I have had 3 other bassinets with my older children, it is exactly what I expect from a bassinet mattress. In addition, for anyone using a movement monitor that is placed beneath the mattress there is no need for additional wood or cardboard beneath it (as you'd put in a crib) with this as the base is solid wood.

As a matter of fact, compared to other bassinets I've owned, this one is by far the most sturdy and well built.

2Somewhat disappointing...Mar 23, 2011
By H. Erickson-Sander "Heather"
This bassinet looks lovely in the pictures, and we read reviews carefully and finally purchased one hoping it would work well to keep our new baby in our room as she slept. It does look pretty, but we definitely experienced some disappointments with this product that I think you should be aware about before you buy. I wouldn't say "Don't buy this!" but definitely think about it before you buy, and do your research.

My satisfaction with this product is that it looks pretty and my baby sleeps in it. The fabric all needed to be well ironed before it looked good, as it arrived very wrinkled. We also decided to purchase the oval version rather than the round one as this one will fit through a standard doorway whereas the round version won't.

My complaints with this product are:
- it arrived with a couple scratches, although they aren't severe or in obvious places
- my husband was assembling this bassinet and realized some of the holes had been pre-drilled incorrectly. I wasn't surprised as I'd actually read another reviewer somewhere also say this happened to them. Luckily my husband is a handy man so it didn't set us back...
- the sheet for the pad had a dark stain on the hem (I will be uploading photos, so be sure to look)
- the "mattress" pad is THIN, although I realize this is standard for infant bedding but it was so flimsy that the sheet caused it to buckle just by putting it on
- along the top side of the railing are bright brassy screws that are eyesores and make this pretty bassinet appear cheaper, I used a white oil-paint pen to cover them up as well as I could and help them blend into the white railing
- the metal arm & hoop that holds the pretty curtain up is incredibly flimsy and ours arrived crooked and just didn't look good. It required bending on our part and also needs to be frequently adjusted so that it stands straight. Very cheap.
- the "shelf" underneath the bassinet is a nice idea but the board is so flimsy it caves in under the slightest pressure

Just consider all these warnings before you purchase this bassinet. I honestly had a hard time finding ANY bassinet on the market without some sketchy reviews, and in the end this bassinet still serves it's purpose and looks pretty. The quality, however, is very lacking. I just hope it continues to be a safe place for my infant to sleep, she's not wiggly or moving much yet but the quality still makes me a bit nervous.

UPDATE 5/24/11: After 13 weeks of use, not even moving it out of our room, 3 out of 4 wheels have broken off. 13 week old baby (in 50th percentile) is going to out-grow the bassinet soon, also. Still functions, still very pretty, but not the best quality.

5Beautiful and SturdyMar 04, 2011
By Steph from Wisconsin
This is a beautiful piece of furniture that will last for a long time. The assembly is easy. The linens are nice, although I highly recommend washing everything and pressing it all. The sheet some people have complained about, but I think it's fine. There is no middle seam either as some have reported, and it fits the mattress well. The ONLY thing I'd change if I could would be getting casters that lock in place. It doesn't move around a lot at all, but it would be nice to have casters that lock. Alternatively you could just forgo installing the casters if you wanted it to be stationary. The oval is a nice shape for baby and is a good size. The storage space underneath is a good size for a boppy pillow.
