i bought this for my sister and the car seat is very light, other wise like other car seats! the safety 1st car seat is very nice but ... (yes the Down about it) .. it feels very cheat and the canopy is extremely short. but other wise i really like it. my sister likes it too. putting it in and out of the base is a snap!

So I decided to purchase this car seat because of it's high safety ratings on CR and the fact that it has a front adjusting harness. It is a little hard to re-thread the harness straps but it doesn't take more then 5 minutes to do so once you get the hang of it. I like the print of the fabric as it's great for a boy or a girl, however the car seat I received had a cream colored infant insert instead of the brown as shown in the picture. Oh and the piping on the car seat is a burgundy color with green and brown tones in the plaid.
I would say my only annoyance with this seat is the buckle, the chest part is simple but the snap for between the legs is a pain to hook together especially when you have a crying baby who doesn't like the seat until it's actually moving.

I did not like this car seat at all. I have friends who have used it and they found thesame things to be true. The car seat doesn't snap into the base easily so you have to jostle the car seat (which will wake a sleeping baby). the buckle mechanism is a 2 piece that you have to puzzle fit together then snap into the buckle. it can get really awkward sometimes. we ended up just leaving this one in the car so we didn't have to base issues. but the buckle was still a pain. i also think the plastic is cheap and a metal buckle would seem more sturdy. i will not be buying this product again.

I purchased this as a second car seat for my husband's car. Great price and our daughter sits in it just fine. Although I have the same brand car seat, this one is lighter. It's easy to install and to adjust the straps when needed. The only thing is the sun beams down on our daughter's head because the canopy is so short (as someone else mentioned). Overall, I recommend it if you're trying to save on money, but want a safe and sturdy car seat.

I had to buy two car seats as we just recently had twins, so we were trying to find a good car seat for a good price. This car seat was half the price of the car seats we had put on our registry but seemed to have all the right features.
Pros: I love the front adjust straps, the multiple strap heights (the nurses at the hospital were surprised at how many there were), the pattern is very cute, they are pretty light (I carried both seats with two over 9lb babies down five flights of stairs and had no problems), and they fit in my baby trend double snap in go (major feature for me)
Cons: The canopy is pretty short and doesn't want to stay open or closed, the carrying handle is hard to adjust, and I have to push down on the seats to make sure they are really snapped in the base which some times wakes them up
One other thing is that while strapping in one of my children the straps came out (I thought to myself that's not so safe). It turns out the s clips were missing!!!!!! I called the customer service line (I agree with the review that mentioned the website, its not very good) and they sent the parts with no charge and they came in a few days (I called on Thursday and received them on Monday). I installed them with no problems and in the process learned how to adjust the straps which looked a lot more complicated in the instruction book than it actually is to do.
Installation of the base was easy for me because I called a fire station and they installed it (yay) but it looked pretty easy. I wanted it done by someone who was trained because my car is really old and doesn't have a locking seat belt so I had to use the locking clip.
All in all, I would recommend this car seat. Other than the s clip problem I had no problems with this and for the price it was a great deal!!
