Looks are oftentimes deceiving, and in the case of this particular media shelf, that is all too true. What you don't see is that this unit is not really made of real wood. You can't really know that you're probably going to split the "wood" when putting it together because it looks fairly sturdy from the ad. No wonder it comes with a blemish cover-up marker...
All of that aside, it's not a bad-looking piece. And it's a pretty good price for what you get. You may want to find something a little sturdier if you plan to store only DVDs on it because it is prone to tipping over easily. But it's slim and doesn't take up much space, which is good.

Took about 10 min to assemble, and does not look cheap. Be careful installing the small nails for the back panel, inless you use glue. Arrived very well packed also.
